This Aussie salesman is running 52 marathons in 52 weeks across the globe to raise $100,000 for UNICEF.
Chosen City Cape Town where I ran my 15th marathon. The attitude towards running is incredible – everyone is an ultra runner!
Post-race Fuel A couple of gallons of Guinness after the Belfast marathon, followed by a Sunday lamb roast!
Downtime Dancing – it’s good training!
On the Road I miss my friends and family terribly but I don’t miss working 10 to 12 hour days.
Racing I’m looking forward to the 100 kilometre race in Mongolia. I’m pretty sure I’ll get lost and end up in a local Yurt village begging to use a llama to find my way back.
Favourite Read “Born to Run” by Chris O’McDougall. It blows away most of your preconceptions about running.
Between Marathons I don’t like the time wasted in transit (49 international flights in 5 months).
Greatest Strength Unwavering self-belief, combined with a manic fear of failure. If you own your fear, you control your future.
