The Black Bull Golf Course plays host to one of the most spectacular half marathons ever held. The run will start from the Yarrawonga rowing club taking in the spectacular views of Lake Mulwala from the recently completed boardwalk before having the opportunity to complete a unique round of golf following each of the 18 holes of this award-winning golf course then returning to the rowing club to complete the first half the run and the Q (Quarter Marathon). The second half involves a run around the streets of the Silverwoods Golf and Lifestyle Resort plus a run along the Murray Valley Highway.
The highlight of the running festival is the Q (Quarter Marathon – 10.549km) is a very achievable distance and can be the first steppingstone to a runner’s goal of a full distance marathon. The Q follows the 18 holes of the award-winning Black Bull Golf Course that also doubles as the first half of the half marathon, therefore both have a chance to race against each other and win cash prizes and set a new race record for one of Australia’s only official quarter marathon.
For those looking for a short run there is the 6.5km run along the back nine holes starting at 8am, open all children over the age of 12, under 12 can run if accompanied by an adult.
To encourage families to be involved we also have a kids and parent run that starts once all these runs have completed, everyone is invited back to join their kids in the 1.8km Macca’s HeartKids Fun Run with all fund’s donation to HeartKids
