The Elephant Trail Race Course is a 25-27km course, with approx. 1455m elevation. This is a multi-directional race, with UTMB Points for 5 of the 8 race distances. This course is about the challenge of the distance, not the distance and not to be underestimated.
Friday night at 8pm the 200km start (1 clockwise, 2 reverse, 2 clockwise, 2 reverse and finish with the 13km course). At 10pm see’s the start of the 160km race (2 laps reverse, 2 laps clockwise and 2 laps in reverse).
Saturday the 100km course, Solo and Teams of 2, (being 2 laps in clockwise and 2 laps in reverse). Saturday will also see the 50km course, 2 laps clockwise one direction and beginners style trail distance 5km. This is achievable by all runners. If you are a support crew waiting for your runners to come in, a parkrun runner or a total beginner that wants to try trail running, this is the distance for you and you can even walk it in the time. Sunday the 25km, 13km course and the kids trail race 2.5km.
The ETR Race is only a short distance from Port Macquarie, Wauchope and Telegraph Point in the beautiful Hastings Area. All racing will take place in Cairncross State Forest.You will travel through the State Forest and NSW Crown Lands and land of the traditional owners, the Birpai People. Take the challenge and discover the magic and mystery that the forest holds. There is hills, creek beds and just so much wonder to discover at the Elephant.
